Ever since I started my yoga journey a year ago, I slowly realized I have become more aware of my … More
Ever since I delved into yoga, I had been looking into a lot of inspiring yogis and yogini on instagram. I came across spectacular yogis like Dylan Werner, Kino Yoga, Patrick Beach and Jacob Manning to name a few. Yes, I’m quite impressed with their feat and just seeing what they can do just strives me to be better at my practice. It also made me wonder. Are there any Filipino personalities practicing yoga on instagram? The search wasn’t that hard as seasoned Filipino yogi friends gave their share of answers. It wasn’t also hard to find Filipino yogis using the hashtag #yogaph or #yogaphilippines on the instagram search. Here are some Filipino Yogis and Yoginis I had been following for a while. I think they share the same quality of inspiration as their international counterparts.
I have been an avid PacSafe user ever since 2008. I have gone through a number of PacSafe products from the CarrySafe pouch, two generations of PacSafe Wallets (up to the RFID versions), Camera bags like the CamSafe Venture V12 Sling Bag and V16 Sling Pack and the handy CarrySafe 100 camera strap. It’s amazing to see how their Anti-Theft products has evolved in terms of functionality and design. Now I’m glad they are expanding and is more accessible by finally having their own flagship store at the ground floor of Glorietta 5 in Makati. A first also on the global scale for the brand.
Never underestimate the distance. That’s one of the few lessons I learned running the 11k trail run at the recently held The North Face 100 PH in Benguet. After running the 12k trail at the Salomon Xtrail in Subic a couple of weeks before, I thought it would be easier for me to get a better time here. My goal for this 11k run was to finish strong, at least on the upper half on the overall ranking. I never thought that this shorter would challenge me that much though.
Recently I was saddened to read the news that more than half of the Great Barrier Reef are at high risk of dying off because of severe bleaching. And what’s disheartening is, it is 175 times likelier triggered by human-caused climate change. If we’re not careful much of our reefs in our country could suffer the same fate. That is why Human Nature, a local manufacturer of natural personal care products, initiated the first Save Our Seas Coastival dubbed #SOSCoastival in San Juan, La Union. It’s a day of gathering like minded individuals with the passion for caring for our environment and spreading awareness on how we can practically contribute on preserving environment by choosing eco-friendly products in our daily lives.
I just realized that this is my 3rd participation in the Salomon Xtrail Pilipinas. This 2016, Salomon brings us to where they started the annual tradition sharing trail love which is at the mountain and hills of Subic Bay. I wasn’t there when they debuted the race so it was an amazing opportunity to see why they chose to go back at Subic, Zambales. I really liked the coastal trails and views of the previous trail runs at Hamilo Coast and Anvaya Cove so I was excited to see how the forest trails fare as I heard it’s quite technical. Four categories again for Salomon Xtrail Pilipinas 2016 – the 6km and 12km Road to Trail Run and the 24km and 32km Mountain Run. I decided to stick with the 12km Road to Trail Run as I wanted to get better time from last year and second I didn’t have a long preparation.
