Personally, I hate using camera neck straps. I find them suffocating, strangling and simply annoys me when the camera is dangling in front of me. But at times I do find the need to use one, depending on the camera bag I use. When I have a shoulder camera bag with me like the Kata Hybrid-537 or a plain messenger bag, the handy Clik Wrist Strap would suffice. But when I use a camera backpack like my Tenda Messenger, I do find the need to use a neck strap. But mirrorless cameras do not need, heavily padded, broad camera straps. So looking around a camera shop, I found the Kata DL C-strap, designed for mirrorless or light cameras in mind.
It’s nice to know that camera accessory manufacturers, like Kata, are now designing products for the mirrorless system. The Kata DL C-Strap, belongs to their D-Light collection of lightweight protective line. The strap is simple yet sturdy, despite having a breathable design with lots of air-holes on the pad. It feels light and airy on the neck. It’s really for light to moderate cameras as I don’t think the stitches can handle really heavy DSLRs. I like the Kata DL C-strap especially for its price of US$10. It’s simple, light and comfortable. I do hope they have a variant with a quick-release option for detaching the camera aside from its current loop connection.
Price: US$10
