Urban nomads looking for the comforting sights of a mall in a rural setting will find GoHotels Dumaguete an easy place to stay in. Like any of their branches GoHotels is usually accompanied by its big brother, the Robinson’s Malls making sure, guest would have all the comforts and needs just a few steps away. Their Dumaguete branch adds a gentle twist. Aside from its well manicured gardens and bright colored green and yellow walls, it’s the staff that also spells the difference. Somehow, the genuine smiles and friendly vibe does exude naturally for Dumagueteños.
The GoHotel staples are still there, the really comfortable Windsor Beds, 2 memory foam pillows!, free Wifi, cable tv, safe and gotta love that stylistic yet economical folding hanger. And oh, that super shower is a great option too I just wish their lights were a bit brighter in the bathroom or add some mirror lights. The large open air lobby gives a warm welcoming space for guest. I especially liked the earth design elements of river stones and bamboo sticks against the brick-walls in the interior. On the corners are their concessionaires like the Asian Gourmet for dining, a Spa, laundry service and a travel agency so guest wouldn’t have to go far.
If one is yearning for local nightlife action though at Dumaguete’s famed Rizal Boulevard, be ready to take a few minutes tricycle ride as GoHotels is away from them.
Like its sister airline company, to get real value out of GoHotels, you have to book quite ahead. Cheapest room rate is P488 when booked ahead. Book-in late or walk-in can be quite expensive already.
