Whenever relatives from US and Canada would send me outdoor apparel and gear, the name Eddie Bauer seemed to pop up frequently. I get flash lights and even shirts as I grow up with the brand. Eddie Bauer is already a household name there having been a pioneer outdoor lifestyle wear since 1920. He was also the guy who designed flight suits for the American Airforce, patented the shuttle cock birdie and outfitted Jim Whittaker, the first American to summit Mt Everest just to name a few of his milestones. Adding to this milestone is the opening of its first two stores in Southeast Asia, here in the Philippines.
I’m more of a backpack type of guy when I travel and seldom uses trolley-type bags unless I needed to. The wheeler I had before was a convertible Wenger, the other is a huge World Traveler luggage when I moved to a new location temporarily. Recently I went on a week-long trip up north and brought with me the Osprey Shuttle 22″/40L bag. Now here’s one bag I wouldn’t mind hauling around. Read on why.
I was looking around the newly opened Eddie Bauer concept store in SM Megamall’s new wing and this Eddie Bauer Rippac Packable Daypack caught my attention. I’ve always have this thing for anything “packable” travel essentials. They are usually light and easily goes together with my other travel gear. So I bought the packable daypack and has been using it for three months now. Here’s my field test review of the Eddie Bauer Rippac Packable Daypack.
Stylish. Fashionable. Portable. NudeAudio is a new-generation bluetooth speakers that’s simply chic but doesn’t compromise on audio quality. Digits Trading recently unveiled the availability of these speakers in varying sizes and functions including the black collection. Their first bluetooth speaker designed for home – the Studio 5, also put under the spotlight. I only got to see and inspect the build. Aside from the sleek design and clean lines, so far I’m liking how portable and durable the speakers are. I thought it would definitely be handy for travel. So far here the available models and their prices. Will be reviewing one of the models soon and let you know how they are.
Less shoes and more you! The philosophy behind ZEMgear footwear is based on proprioception – with lesser shoe information from the foot travels a lot quickly to the brain hence brings stability, natural movement, balance and performance. Evolving from it’s beach volleyball roots, ZEMgear has been continually developing its line of products for different type of activities. I recently got a ZEMgear Terra, a ZEMgear footwear geared towards the active traveler. It has a ninja split-toe design with toe-guard protection and barefoot agility feel and a Green Grip outsole with non-slip and high traction for different terrains. I had the ZEMgear Terra for more than a month already and put it through several abuse – from mountain climbs, river treks, track runs and even general gym use.
