Trail Run | Salomon Xtrail Pilipinas 2015: The 12k Road to Trail

On its 5th year, Salomon Xtrail Pilipinas 2015, gathered as nearly 1,500 runners last April 25, 2015 as one of the most anticipated running events of the year, held in Anvaya Cove, Morong, Bataan. Keeping its tradition and reputation as having not only the most scenic trails in the past five years, they are also known as having technical trails that would challenge trail runners from beginners dipping their foot on the trails (the 6km and 12km Road to Trail) and to avid trail runners looking to test their skills and endurance (24km and 32km Mountain Trail). Like last year’s Xtrail in Hamilo Coast, I was able to join this year’s trail run as well, upping my ante a little on the 12km Road to Trail Category. Photography Talk 101 for Eagle Creek: Inspired by Travel

Travel Photography 101

Eagle Creek is celebrating its 40th Anniversary of Inspiring people to Travel with their tough and efficient travel gear from backpacks, luggage, packing cubes and other travel accessories. As part of Eagle Creek Philippines celebration, they have weekly activities for their “Eagle Creek Travel Educational Campaign”. I was tapped to speak for their “Travel Photography 101” session which was held last week at ROX, BGC. I am in the midst of a project in El Nido Palawan and it was timely I was in Manila for a week and was available to do this talk. We had an overwhelming response of more than 80 people reserving their slot for the session. As expected since it was a weekday and a challenge to go to the venue with the traffic, more than half of the sign ups attended. Thank you very much to the people who attended as I enjoyed that little talk. There’s also a post-event contest happening for attendees. Read further for details.

Spring Collection Fashion Show to launch Eddie Bauer int he Philippines

Whenever relatives from US and Canada would send me outdoor apparel and gear, the name Eddie Bauer seemed to pop up frequently. I get flash lights and even shirts as I grow up with the brand. Eddie Bauer is already a household name there having been a pioneer outdoor lifestyle wear since 1920. He was also the guy who designed flight suits for the American Airforce, patented the shuttle cock birdie and outfitted Jim Whittaker, the first American to summit Mt Everest just to name a few of his milestones. Adding to this milestone is the opening of its first two stores in Southeast Asia, here in the Philippines.
