Third time’s a charm as they say! In a span of a month I’ve been to Bohol for the third time. I just came home from a magazine photo assignment which I may say is so far the most physically challenging and also life-risky shoots I’ve done. It’s all about adventure I say and it was hell lot of fun. As much as I liked to do a daily dispatch, I can’t divulge much detail until the issue is out.
Taking Photos and writing the stories has been the theme on my published works lately. In the latest issue of Seair Inflight, June-July 2010, I was able to contribute 3 features: El Nido’s Ins & Outs Guide, Le Bistro Vert’s Indulge feature and a report on Mandala Spa’s TREEtment project for InTune. While the latter was a bit impromptu, I welcomed the task. Besides it’ll help in improving my writing. This June-July 2010 is the Green Issue where we focus on the environment and anything organic. Features story on Hacienda San Benito, a focus on 3 eco-resorts, a guide to the natural wonders and an interview with Chin-chin Guiterrez. Check out my contribution pages.
It’s time again I do both the writing and photography chores on assignment in PAL’s Mabuhay Magazine May 2010 issue. And it’s great that it’s on a familiar place in Mindoro which is San Jose. Last time I went there on assignment, I covered the islands, scenic beaches and also the cultural and indigenous aspects of the region. This time around I delved deeper into the country’s history as it celebrates its 100 years and discovered the significance of MacArthur’s “Second Landing” that led to the country’s liberation.
So what’s your favorite beach? 10 travelers were asked that question and here they share their sweet spots under the sun. Also included in Seair Inflights February-March 2010 Issue are features on Batanes and Vigan. There’s also some interesting bits information on what three popular tour guides, Ivan Man Dy, Carlos Celdran and Yael love about Manila. As for me, I was able to contribute to some images again for some spreads. Check out some pages on this issue now on board each Seair InFlight.
There was a time I would look at calendars and admire the photos there. I would skim through the pages and enjoy looking at the pictures. There was even a time I kept a calendar past its marked year because I enjoyed the photos that much. Anyways, I finally got a chance to be on a calendar. I don’t know the pharmaceutical brand (I heard PrimeDrug is a subsidiary of a German Brand) but I’m happy still that they liked the photo and used it.
My photo of Batanes opens at the start of the year in January 2010. I hope that harkens good vibes for the coming year, 2010.
It seemed a daunting task but I took on the assignment with much gusto as delving into the paranormal intrigues me. Seair Inflight wanted to feature Baguio’s famous haunts for its October-November Issue. There was research done on the famous and not so famous spots. But as with any ghost stories it’s a question on how would you catch anything that isn’t corporeal. Let alone a question of belief if they do exist.
