Have you ever wanted to try yoga but don’t know where to start? Tried doing yoga via youtube video classes but lack the motivation to finish? Or ever wanted to step into a studio class but found it intimidating? Those are valid concerns I also faced when I started yoga in 2014. I remember attending my first yoga class in a mall studio and finding myself out of place. It was good practice though despite me just imitating my fellow classmates and doing my best to follow the teacher’s cues. Through perseverance, I attended different classes, studios, and teachers. It took a while for me to learn.
The Yoga Fundamentals Workshop at Community Fitness in Pasig is designed for people who are interested in yoga and want to dip their toes into the practice. It’s also for long-time practitioners who want to refresh their fundamentals and essentials. Yoga is a life-long practice and every time we step into class, it’s a learning experience. For me, this would be the workshop I wish was available when I was starting. It covers the essentials in learning and doing yoga.

This two-and-a-half-hour, four-session workshop introduces the essentials of starting your yoga journey. Learning about the origins of yoga, the power of breath, and the more common poses included in a yoga class and how to safely execute them depending on your body structure.
This allows those with zero background in yoga to practice mindfully. For those who already have a practice, you will learn modifications to take your practice to another level.
