There’s fulfillment in printing photographs. I always feel accomplished whenever I see my work on print wether it be on a glossy magazine or a photo lab print. While the image may look good on the screen, seeing the tangible details right in front of you is a lot more amazing to look at. It’s a good thing I had the chance to print out some of my photos (as well as some from my friends) just to see the quality of Canon’s latest inkjet printer, the Canon Pixma MX927. Will this all-in-one printer be a jack-of-all-trade and master of none? I tested the printer to find out how it performs.

Many shutters have been clicked, so many people have been photographed, so many smiles have been captured. Yet it’s rare that I get to return the favour of sharing their moments with us photographers. I wanted to give something back, even as simple as giving their own photo.

When I saw the Polaroid Pogo printer for the first time, I thought it was a very handy device to give instant photo to people. Its introductory price was steep two years ago (about P4000+) but when I saw it a couple of months ago it has gone down to half its price and thought about getting one. I thought it would be useful to bring to Myanmar where I could give photos so select individuals so I bought a unit.

I appreciate a good photograph especially when I have it on hand and looking at a good quality print. During the recent Backpack Photography Batanes, we were able to test the portable Canon Selphy CP 780’s durability and performance. We wanted our participants to print their favourites so we can do critiques as well as give them something to keep as mementoes.
