I was shopping around for a sleeve for my MacBook Pro when I ended up on a Lowe Pro Store in a mall. Known mostly for its camera bags and accessories, I was surprised they also carry laptop sleeves like Acme Made which is quite famous in the USA for its quality bags and sleeves for most Apple products. After looking around, I ended up getting the Acme Made SF Slick Sleeve.
The StretchShell Neoprene
One thing that attracted me to the Acme Made SF Slick Sleeve is the not so usual glossy exterior finish that looks both attractive and stylish. Aside from the looks, their patented StretchShell Neoprene is water and stain resistant while providing the basic protection for the MacBook Pro. The zipper opens up only 3/4 of the sleeve so one has to really pull out the laptop when needed to use. There’s also a discreet handle on one side as support handle when lugging it around.
Bottomline
I’m quite happy with the Acme Made SF Slick Sleeve which is really stylish yet functional. The MacBook Pro fits snugly inside. The glossy finish can be easily smudged with fingerprints though but its easy to wipe out, what is important is its water and stain resistant. What’s more the price is so reasonable its a shame not to get it. Really a good buy!
