GoHotels Puerto Princesa at Night

By this time, I have been familiar with GoHotels brand of accommodation. I’ve stayed in their Mandaluyong and Dumaguete branches already and their staple character remains – the no frills yet comfortable rooms painted with the freshly colored green and orange, windsor beds, memory foam, rain shower, Cable TV, complimentary wifi, within mall vicinity and good value rates. These are all there on their GoHotels Puerto Princesa Palawan branch as well, the difference is in the location and the personal service.

Service with a Personal Touch

I have stayed in GoHotels Puerto Princesa a couple of times. Having stayed in El Nido, I would usually travel to Puerto Princesa to do some errands or  fly on way home to Manila, I would stay here for the night. A couple of days before my check-in, I would receive an SMS asking for my flight details, even if I’m not coming in by plane because they have free airport transfers to and from the hotel. I thought that was a nice touch. Even when checked in, the staff would kindly remind us of our airport transfers.

Location by the Mall

GoHotels is located at the North Road much closer to the San Jose Market and Provincial Bus Station. There are regular jeeps plying the road so its easy to find one’s way. Besides, the Robinson’s Mall is hard to miss.

It’s always convenient to stay where its easy to get supplies and eat. It’s at Robinson’s Mall where I would replenish supplies I wouldn’t get in El Nido. I don’t even have to spend money on transport fares.

One inconvenience I found in the location is the weak cellular signal. GoHotels have free wifi but its not as fast as I would like and often times would bog down. My Globe Tattoo was virtually non-existent with only EDGE on my signal.

Bottomline

So far, GoHotels has delivered consistently. There was a minor issue of a trail of ants in one of my rooms when I checked in which they remedied immediately but all was well. They didn’t even charge me when I left my duffle bag at the counter for a couple of hours after I checked out. If they remain consistent with this kind of service, I may be a regular on their other locations.
