Unless something happens to you, it is easy to take travel insurance for granted. For budget travelers, it’s looks like an unnecessary add-on. Right? I had been sick overseas and would have been easier if I had confined myself in a hospital. I also have a baggage item damaged on a flight. Even got some flight delays too. If I had travel insurance at those times, I could cover my hospital expense, claim for baggage damage and even get some meal allowance for delayed flights. Simple inconveniences like that are covered in travel insurance like FPG Travel Insurance.
There are spontaneous moments when I need to book hotels while on the move. My laptop or desktop may not always be in reach so my smartphone would be the most convenient mode of booking while mobile. Admittedly, I’m a smartphone person and have used mobile apps heavily for booking hotels and even flights. This time, I tried the Traveloka App for booking a hostel in Makati. I know a lot of foreign backpackers and budget travelers who are looking for a good value accommodation in the heart of Makati.
In this season of giving, saying “Thank You!” is one of the easiest way to show gratitude. Uttering these phrase could put anyone in an uplifting mood. No matter how small or big a gesture or favor, a simple “Thank You!” spells a difference. And to coincide with the season, AirAsia Philippines is saying Thank You to all its loyal passengers for a year of memorable journey. In line with this, AirAsia Philippines launched its #ThankYou Christmas Campaign with a Blog Writing Contest where participants can win two roundtrip international tickets and a pocket money of Php 20,000. On the side, passengers can also avail of the GrabCar Ride promo this December. Read on for the details
Recently, I had a long-haul flight from Kuwait to Manila Philippines with a stop at Dubai via Philippine Airlines. I decided to flyPAL for this 10-hour flight instead of the other airline since I know they have in-flight entertainment on board. It was a no-brainer since the flight cost was almost the same. When I boarded the flight I was delighted that they gave me a choice seat with better leg room. Though I was wondering why the plane, an Airbus 330–300, doesn’t have LCD panels. Browsing through Mabuhay Magazine, I found out that I had to download the myPAL Player App now to enjoy the InFlight Entertainment. I confirmed this with one of the flight attendant so I quickly downloaded the app on my Asus Zenfone Max phone before the cabin doors were closed and our plane took off. I also wanted to install the app on my iPad Mini but was short of time.
Family travel need not be complicated when planning. I’ve had my share of planning trips with family and relatives and it can be troublesome at times really. The Travel Club, the pioneering travel-related specialty shop in the country for two decades thinks it need not be a hassle. The Mad About Travel 2016, is an event brought to you by The Travel Club, bringing together travel agencies, establishments and eats in one place to better organize travel plans. The event also showcases products the store carries for ease and comfort of travel. Now on its third and final leg, Mad About Travel 2016 promises to offer great deals, fun and prizes until this weekend March 4–6, 2016.
There are planned trips and there are spontaneous ones. There are even times when something went wrong with our hotel booking or we are not pleased with the hotel when we got. That’s where the HotelQuickly app comes in. It’s a last-minute hotel booking app that’s designed to let you find available hotels in the area and book it instantly at discounted rates. I recently got to try this app in my trip to the Cordilleras at the start of the year and find out for my self the conveniences and quirks the application had.
