Ever since I started venturing into the outdoors more than two decades ago, Columbia Sportswear has been a reliable companion. It’s a trusted brand among mountaineers. Personally if I can grab a few apparels from them, I would. It’s not cheap but you get what you pay for. Quality and technology that can last for years. I remember having my first Columbia convertible pants and it lasted for at least five years. Definitely “Tested Tough”. Columbia Sportswear have been producing and innovating products long before. And to mark their 80th Anniversary, they have relaunched a flagship store in the Philippines that continues to inspire people to go outdoors.

80 Years of Tested Tough
When the Bugaboo jackets came out in 1986, it blew people’s mind. A bold concept from Columbia Sportswear to introduce a 3-in-1 jacket where the fleece is optional wear depending on the clime. Reintroducing the 80th anniversary version incorporating their proprietary technology – Omni-Heat thermal reflective liner and Omni-Tech waterproof/breathable, critically seam-sealed weather protection feature, making it even warmer and drier than the 80s edition.

Columbia Flagship Store
Part of Columbia Sportswear’s 80th anniversary celebration is redesigning the interiors of their flagship stores. They call it an “Epic-retail environment”.
The new Cascade Retail Environment store concept incorporates evergreen photography, prop libraries, and highly customized fixtures to the store as evidenced by the elaborate fitting rooms and the dramatic and well-thought out amphitheatre. Every detail has been meticulously planned and implemented for one purpose— to deliver a superior brand environment dedicated to enhance the retail experience of customers.
The relaunched flagship store reopened in a new location at SM Mall of Asia. They are now at the 2nd level of the North Wing, Entertainment Mall of SM MOA.
